The nonprofit Senior Citizens Council of Clackamas County has elected Linda Fridell-Paul as its new board president.

 Linda Fridell-PaulBased in Oregon City, the Senior Citizens Council is a grassroots community organization that protects homebound, frail, vulnerable and geographically isolated individuals.

Fridell-Paul was responsible for the oversight of a three-year project to develop Oregon’s Victim Assistance Academy, which continues to provide basic and advanced training for victim advocates. She continues to present classes and workshops on victim assistance at both the state and national levels.

Fridell-Paul worked in the victim services field for 25 years before retiring. She specialized in working with people with disabilities and elderly victims of crime during her time with the Clackamas County D.A.’s office.

The board also elected Samantha Maiden as its new vice president. Maiden owns and operates Gray Gables Estate in Milwaukie, a popular event and wedding site. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management from Marylhurst University.
