The Gladiators' ground game generated 397 yards on 30 carries and six rushing touchdown in Friday's non-conference home win

Gladstone's Spencer Boyd scored on touchdown runs of 29 and 17 yards, and five other players scored one touchdown each as the Gladiators overpowered the visiting Woodburn Bulldogs 65-3 in a non-conference blowout at Dick Baker Stadium.

Damian Alvarado, Matthew Kuhn, Matthew Lehrbach and Kalehb Newberry added touchdown runs, and Hudson Meyer threw a 62-yard touchdown pass to Deric Penn in the Gladiators final tune-up before next week's Tri-Valley Conference opener at Molalla.

Gladstone's Mason Scheehean rushed for a game-high 112 yards on seven carries, and Alvarado added 97 yards on six carries. Three other runners rushed for at least 35 yards each as the Gladiators (2-2) piled up 397 yards rushing on 30 carries – an average of 13.2 yards per carry.

In the kicking game, Gladstone's Josiah Wachlin converted 8 of 9 PATs and hit a 35-yard field.

Trailing 6-0, Woodburn's only points came on a 31-yard field goal by Steven Martinez with 6:38 remaining in the first quarter.
