The Gladiators rode four first-half touchdowns to a 27-6 lead and finished with 471 yards total offense Friday

Gladstone's Damian Alvarado scored on a 5-yard run in the first quarter and caught a 61-yard touchdown pass from Chandler Berks in the second quarter, leading the Gladiators to a 34-12 Tri-Valley Conference home win Friday over the Madras White Buffaloes.

Berks, starting at quarterback in place of Hudson Meyer, completed 8 of 8 passes for 143 yards with a 1-yard touchdown pass to Ben Hill. Spencer Boyd and Matthew Kuhn added touchdown runs for the Gladiators (3-3, 1-1 Tri-Valley).

Madras (1-5, 0-3) trailed 20-0 before sophomore tailback Treyvon Easterling scored the first of his two rushing touchdowns on an 8-yard run with 5:53 remaining in the second quarter.

Gladstone closed on the half on a high note when Berks connected with Alvarado on a 61-yard pass play for a touchdown with 28 seconds left in the half, extending the Gladiators' lead to 27-6.

Dylan Farris led Gladstone's ground game with 11 carries for 180 yards, and Boyd added five carries for 88 yards. Alvardo had 48 yards rushing on seven carries, and added a team-high 69 yards receiving on two catches for the Gladiators, who finished with 471 yards total offense.

Easterling had a team-high 99 yards rushing on 26 carries, and Brady Pattenaude added 36 yards on six carries for the Buffaloes, who haven't won a league game in five seasons.

Gladstone returns home Thursday to face Crook County in the Gladiators' final regular-season home game at 7 p.m., while Madras plays a non-conference home game against Corbett.
