The Cavaliers took their first lead on Jeffrey Nelson's 37-yard field with three seconds to play Saturday at Reser Stadium

Jeffrey Nelson kicked a 37-yard field goal with three seconds to lift Clackamas to a 31-30 victory and help the No. 2-ranked Cavaliers cap a perfect 14-0 season with their first state championship.

Clackamas' James Millspaugh finished with 29 carries for a game-high 160 yards rushing and scored on runs of 4, 39 and 8 yards for the Cavaliers, who finished with 463 yards total offense to South Medford's 420.

The Panthers (12-2) led 30-28 and had the ball at the Clackamas 24-yard line when Jaylin Parnell fumbled, giving the ball to the Cavaliers at their own 21 with 1:39 to play.

Clackamas quarterback Mitchell Modjeski then led the Cavaliers on a 10-play, 59-yard drive that ended with Nelson hitting his second game-winning field goal of the playoffs.
