The Diamondbacks from Las Vegas closed the third quarter on an 11-2 run that turned a 25-23 lead into a 36-25 advantage heading in the fourth quarter.

The Pioneers played without six players who were each serving part of a five-game suspension for a violation of school rules and lacked the offensive firepower to keep pace with Desert Oasis down the stretch.

Oregon City closes out tournament play against Mt. Hood Conference-rival Clackamas in Saturday's 5:30 p.m. third-place game.
