Forest Grove edged the Pioneers 321-320 at the Oregon High School Equestrian Team state championships in Redmond

Forest Grove edged Oregon City by one point, 321-320, to capture the team title, followed by Canby in third place with 275 points.

In addition to winning two individual events, Mikayla Wacker finished second in Canadian flags with teammates Allie Nuhring, Grace Steiner, and Alexa Wacker, and also placed fourth in working pairs with Alexa Wacker, fifth in barrels, and sixth in driving.

Overall, Mikayla Wacker led all riders in individual versatility with 63 points, while Alexa Wacker was the top team contributor with 138 points as the two sisters each earned one the four commemorate belt buckles presented to the top riders at the state finals.

There were over 400 riders who competed on over 500 horses during the four-day meet.
