Clackamas' Greg Mehlhaff landed on the All-State first team for the second year in a row; five other Cavs' also earn recognition

PAMPLIN MEDIA: JIM BESEDA - Clackamas' Greg Mehlhaff was named to the Class 6A All-State first team for the second season in a row.Westview's Willie Wiess was named the Class 6A Pitcher of the Year after leading the Wildcats to a state title, while South Salem catcher Aaron Zavala was named the 6A Player of the year.

Westview's Matt Bailie was recognized as the 6A Coach of the Year after his top-ranked Wildcats (28-3) defeated No. 2 Clackamas 8-4 in the state final.

Clackamas first baseman Greg Mehlhaff was named to the All-State first team for the second season in a row and was one of six players for the state runner-up Cavaliers to earn All-State recognition.

Third baseman Alex Claxton and outfielder Grant Schoen over the Cavaliers were named to the second team, while pitcher Tucker Grote catcher Jake Zehr received honorable mention.

Oregon City outfielder/designated hitter Kyle Roley also earned honorable mention after helping lead the Pioneers (13-14) to a berth in the Class 6A state playoffs.
