Gladstone's Rylee Nordby scored in the 60th minute on a shot point-blank range to break a scoreless tie and lift the No. 2-ranked Gladiators to a 1-0 road win over the No. 6-ranked Huskies.

Gladstone 1, North Marion 0Delaney McNett triggered the scoring play with a long throw-in into the middle of the 16-yard box where Brianna Lewis deflected the ball to Nordby, the senior midfielder who buried a shot between North Marion goalkeeper Mallory Patzer and the right post.

Gladstone improved to 12-1 overall, 9-0 in the Tri-Valley Conference, and is in position to closed out a perfect league season with a win in Tuesday's regualr-season finale at home against Molalla.

The Gladiators also reclaimed the No. 1 spot in the OSAA power rankings, moving ahead of Hidden Valley of the Skyline Conference.

North Marion dropped to 8-3-2 overall, 5-2-2 in league, and climbed a spot in the power rankings to No. 5.
