Health care has been a hot topic for years now, from living-room discussions of young families across America to the committee rooms of Congress. While the debate rages about how best to deliver care that ensures the health of all Americans, one thing has become clear: Patients deserve transparency about and excellence in the care they receive.

That's why Adventist Health Portland is proud to have earned the 2018 HealthInsight Hospital Quality Award by demonstrating excellence in quality patient care. This recognition is given to the highest performing health care provider organizations in Oregon and other states where HealthInsight serves as the Medicare program's Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) contractor.

We believe the transparency encouraged by the HealthInsight Quality Award helps us provide better serve our patients and community while also helping you — the health care consumer — be more active and informed in your own care.

That mission has guided our service in Portland for more than 126 years, and we look forward to continually striving in excellence, quality and service for the next century too.
