Pam Pitra comments on July 31 article in the Clackamas Review remembering Sunnyside's popular swimming hole

What happened to great places like Wally's dam?

I just read the July 31 article in the Clackamas Review headlined "

." It brought back such good memories from my high school years.

We knew that Wally's dam was a safe place to go swimming. No bullying was allowed either. You were just another kid there to have fun no matter who you were or what school you went to. I always had fun there.

It is too bad that more places like that are not around. It sure kept us out of trouble.
