Sandi Hulden of Oregon City: When will politicians, leaders and manufacturers get serious and change this fossil-fuel dilemma?

Hurrah for the protesters' actions on Sept. 20 to bring attention to the importance of climate change,

What exactly will Gov. Brown do after her statement "I stand with you," or is it mere lip service? This environmental problem affects ALL people around the world. At the UN Climate Action Summit on Sept. 21-23 in New York, a young activist voiced her disgust that nothing is being done about this pollution issue. Sad to say that America is not one of the 66 countries that have promised ambitious goals.

When will politicians, leaders and manufacturers get serious and change this fossil-fuel dilemma? They are pathetic, and it speaks volumes about their lack of concern for people's lives.

The public is urged to recycle, sustain ourselves, and not be wasteful. We could use the help from our government, but that isn't likely.
