David Emami, city councilor: 'Without this levy, Happy Valley would have no dedicated police'

David EmamiThis November, Happy Valley residents will have the opportunity to vote yes on funding our police for five more years with no tax increase.

By renewing this levy, which has funded our police force since 2002, Happy Valley residents will continue to receive 24/7 patrols, quicker response times and proactive crime prevention. Without this levy, Happy Valley would have no dedicated police and would be solely reliant on emergency response only (if available) from the nearest on-duty sheriff in Clackamas County, which is 1,800 square miles.

Not only do our police patrol our streets, they are also an integral part of our community events, school safety and work closely with other first responders.

On behalf of myself and other elected representatives of Happy Valley, please join us in voting yes on Meaure 3-551 and help keep our community safe!
