Susan Liston of Gladstone appreciates various articles in the Jan. 8 edition of the local newspaper

Thank you, our local newspaper, for being ready to pick up your pen on our behalf.

Here's what I would have missed if it weren't for the Jan. 8 edition of the Clackamas Review:

1. Gladstone Mayor Tammy Stempel is bringing to fruition the new Trolley Trail Bridge, catalyzing positive change and safety for Clackamas County.

2. Oregon City chose as its new library director Greg Williams, whose leadership provided impetus in negotiating a positive outcome for everyone regarding the lawsuit between the county and the city of Gladstone.

3. Another article by Raymond Rendleman detailed the recent volunteer efforts by Clackamas County employees who initiated fundraisers and donated over $500 to a local agency serving the most vulnerable.

For these critical stories — and more — I salute, support and appreciate the Clackamas Review. Thank you.

Susan Liston
