Happy Valley physician arrested again should lose license
As a former patient of Jon Wiebe — and I will not give him the satisfaction of using a title he hasn't earned or respected at this point — I am hoping that Kaiser Permanente will put their patients before their employees, for their protection and permanently release him from his employment with them for cause, and I personally hope that the medical profession takes the necessary steps to permanently revoke any medical licenses to practice ever again.
It's something (wrong) to abuse another person, not once but multiple times (and many go unreported), but a member of the medical community should be held to a higher standard, as they are the people we look up to and depend on.
As someone who used to work with domestic violence in law enforcement, this just rankles me. It's beyond comprehension why someone takes their anger out physically on others, more so on family members. It generally doesn't get better, but escalates in further harm to the victim. No one asks to be hurt, no one deserves this treatment. It's unacceptable to the highest degree.
In this particular situation, a slap on the hand is not enough for someone in his profession (former, I hope in his case).
Real time needs to be served by this abuser, and the abuser needs to know that this is unacceptable, has to cease and the abuser needs mandatory counseling for as long as it takes to get to the root of why he is doing it. They also need to apologize to those they have hurt, not just the victim but others around them that have been a witness to any aspect of this. I would like to see some kind of registry for domestic violence abusers and have that list never expire if there isn't one already. Add me to the list of those that will not tolerate domestic violence in any form, from anyone, no matter your station in life.
