Happy Valley needs strong female voice on City Council
As a city councilor and volunteer for Happy Valley for over 20 years, I have worked with a great number of diverse city councils that prove that the councils should represent their respective communities.
Ana has been committed to making our community a better and more inclusive place to live, raise our families and be proud to be a part of. Ana has brought passion and integrity to her volunteer roles with Happy Valley committees, making our city a better place to live.
All of the Clackamas County city councils and the county commissioners, as well as our state representatives, include female representation — all except the Happy Valley City Council.
Ana brings the voice and change we need to be representative of all of our citizens in our community, including women and women of color.
This is one of the many reasons I have endorsed Ana Sarish, a woman of color, for Happy Valley City Council. Ana has volunteered on city committees, served as president of the Happy Valley Business Alliance and is a senior mortgage advisor understanding the real estate market and its economics. Ana has been a member of the Parent Community Leadership Alliance, the Parent Techer Organization and the United Community Alliance, working for equity and inclusion in our community.
It is time for change; we need the diversity and representation of a dedicated strong female voice on our Council.
Markley Drake is currently the longest-serving member of the Happy Valley City Council.
