Find safe ways to connect with family, friends over holidays
Tootie Smith has put Clackamas County in the national spotlight in a most shameful way.
COVID-19 is not a political issue; it is a deadly disease with far too many people getting sick and too often dying because of casual attitudes toward the virus. (Note how our White House is full of people who are testing positive to the virus because of these casual attitudes).
It seems Ms. Smith believes her right to have a party trumps the rights of her guests to have health and possibly even life. As children we believed having a party was essential. As adults we have the ability to pull back and make life-giving decisions.
As for me and my family, we will find ways to connect for the holidays without endangering one another. We choose life.
