Opinion: Let's ensure reliable, efficient Clackamas Fire service
My campaign to join the Clackamas Fire Board begins with strong support of family, friends and community leaders, and will succeed through people from all walks of life coming together and moving toward a shared vision: safe and healthy communities. I will be working diligently for your investment in this campaign, whether it be through financial support, volunteering or endorsements.
Early adopters of my campaign include John Wentworth, Clackamas County district attorney; Laura Edmonds, CEO of North Clackamas Chamber; Simon Fulford, executive director of Parrott Creek Child & Family Services; Charles Gallia, chair of the Democratic Party of Clackamas County; and Jeana Gonzales, co-founder of Unite Oregon City. I am proud to have their support as well as many more by election day, May 18.
I was born and raised in Portland and have raised my four incredible children in Clackamas County with my wife, Hannah. For over 25 years I have worked as a leader and proven coalition builder in health care, with a deep passion for accessible, equitable, quality care for all — especially the most vulnerable in our communities.
My work ethic centers on giving back to my community, evidenced by my three years of service to Parrott Creek Child & Family Services. Professionally, I have driven strategic planning skills and created multi-stakeholder relationships for success in health and human services care delivery, which will add value to the Fire District Board. As a government agency and business leader, I am excited to take on the responsibility of ensuring reliable, efficient and sustainable operations for our fire service — a critical foundation of public health and safety.
Clackamas County's residents and its hundreds of deeply dedicated firefighting professionals rely upon the Fire District Board to provide professional and steady leadership to extend its legacy of excellence. I will be working diligently to earn your vote so I can add my talents to the board to achieve this goal.
