Deliver Oak Lodge Library on budget, on schedule as promised
The North Clackamas Parks & Recreation District (NCPRD) provided an update on their project to build a library and community center at the former Concord School property during their District Advisory Committee meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 8.
The update revealed a $9.2 million budget increase, a $13.2 million funding gap and a four-to-five-month project delay. The library portion of the budget increase is less than $1 million and is being covered by additional funding resources obtained by State Rep. Karin Power, D-Milwaukie.
Since the library project and the community center projects are dependent on each other, it is of vital importance that NCPRD resolve this budget and funding problem as soon as possible to ensure that the project is delivered on budget and on schedule as promised to the Oak Grove and Jennings Lodge community.
