Richard Etulain will lead a conversation on “A State of Change: Oregon’s Evolving Identities” beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at the Estacada Public Library.


Etulain, a history author, Northwest native and professor emeritus of history of the University of New Mexico, will delve into Oregon’s many identities from “a laboratory of democracy” to “a land of logging.”

The free discussion is part of the Oregon Humanities’ Conversation Project, intended to bring Oregonians together for public discussions of provocative subjects.

The event is hosted by the Estacada Area Arts Commission.

Light refreshments will be served.
