EVENTS

Eagle Creek Grange Flea Market

The Eagle Creek Grange Flea Market and Craft Sale is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 7, and Saturday, April 8, at 24491 Eagle Creek Road. Soup, sandwiches, chili, hot dogs, pie, coffee and soda will be available.

Springwater Players Production

The Springwater Players will present the comedy "Play On!" by Rick Abbot at 7 p.m. April 7, 8 and 14 and 2 p.m. April 9. Performances take place at the Springwater Grange, 24591 S. Springwater Road.

Wonser Woods Open House

There will be an open house at Wonser Woods, a wedding venue and bed and breakfast, from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 9. Tour the estate and plan your wedding or stay at the B&B. Special sale prices will be available for booking. Wonser Woods is at 24250 S. Raney Lane.

Wade Creek House Open House

Members of Wade Creek House will host the store's open house from 10 am. to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 15. The event will feature store-wide savings. Wade Creek House is at 664 N.W. Wade St.

Fire Department Egg Hunt

Estacada Volunteer firefighters will host their annual Easter egg hunt from noom to 12:20 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at the Estacada football field, 500 N.E. Main St.

Eagle Creek Grange Easter Egg Hunt

An Easter egg hunt is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at the Grange, 24491 Eagle Creek Road.

Odd Fellows Event

Members of the Estacada Odd Fellows Lodge will hold a "Get to know us" night, featuring games, appetizers and prizes. Applications and brochures for the Odd Fellows will also be available. The event is scheduled for 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, at the Odd Fellows Lodge, 267 S.W. Second St.

Spring Party at Aslan's How

The Spring Block Party at Aslan's How Organics is scheduled for 1-4 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at 24041 S.E. Highway 224. The event will feature baby goats and free miniature pony rides.

REFIT Class at Clackamas Valley Baptist Church

Kacy Kishpaugh teaches a REFIT class starting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Estacada First Baptist Church gym, 29101 S.E. Eagle Creek Road. REFIT is a dance fitness class designed for all levels. The focus is on body, mind and soul, and classes feature music and fun dance moves. The cost is $3 per class, and the first class is free.

Quilt Club

The Skip-a-Week club meets from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays at the Garfield Grange, 33460 S.E. Divers Road. For information, call 503-630-4669.

Spinning Group

The Estacada spinning and fiber arts group meets from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Fridays at Betty Veveiros CPA, 309 S.W. Highway 224.

Coffee with Firefighters

Estacada fire holds a community coffee at 9 a.m the first Tuesday of each month at the fire station, 445 S.E. Currin St. The event is an opportunity to meet firefighters and staff, ask questions and learn about the district.

Wednesday Senior Lunches

Grace Place Assisted Living offers lunch for all local seniors every Wednesday. Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. in the Grace Place dining hall and is followed by bingo. Lunch is $4, and bingo is $1.

City Council

The Estacada City Council meets from 7-8 p.m. Monday, April 10, at City Hall, 475 S.E. Main St. Call 503-630-8270.

The Estacada School Board meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at Clackamas River Elementary School, 301 N.E. Second Ave.

Chamber Lunch

High school principal and future interim school superintendent Ryan Carpenter will speak at the next Chamber of Commerce Leadership Luncheon, scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 20. Estacada Community Outreach will host a free breakfast from 8-11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at the center. All are welcome.

Dessert, live music

and dancing

An evening of coffee and dessert, live music performed by Classic Country Connection (formerly known as the Heartland Classic Country Band) and dancing will be held starting at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at the center. The cost is $4. There will be a 50/50 raffle to benefit Meals on Wheels.

Zumba classes

Zumba classes are held at the center from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday evenings and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. some Saturday mornings. Zumba is $5 per class, or $25 for a monthly pass. Call 503-680-4338 for more information.

Dance Fitness with Susan

Exercise to music for all fitness levels on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with Susan Wagner at the center from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Weekday lunches and games

Lunch is served in the center's dining room for all ages at noon on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with full salad bar on Tuesdays and Fridays. Donations are suggested for seniors; lunch is $4 for those under 60. Chicken foot dominoes follows Monday and Thursday lunches. Bingo follows lunch on Tuesday and Friday.

The center offers a $4 breakfast for all ages at 9 a.m. Wednesdays with a door prize drawing and with pinochle and cribbage following breakfast for those interested. Call 503-630-7454 for bus service.

Free Tai Chi classes

Free Tai Chi classes for ages 12 and up are held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Fridays at the center.

Seniors exercise class

Exercise classes for seniors are held at 9:30 a.m. Mondays and Thursdays at the center.

Tae Kwon Do classes

Tae Kwon Do classes for ages 8 and up are held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays downstairs at the center. Call 503-975-7119 for information and cost.

Library, ping-pong, puzzles and computer solitaire

Drop in to the Community Center from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Caregivers Support Group

Grace Place Senior Living hosts a monthly support group for caregivers. Those who care for individuals who are elderly or suffering from terminal or mental illnesses are encouraged to attend. The group meets from 3-4 p.m. the first Wednesday of every month at Grace Place, 380 N.W. Sixth Ave.

Alcoholics Anonymous

An Alcoholics Anonymous group meets from 7-8 p.m. every Thursday at the Assembly of God Church, 478 N.W. Wade St. Another AA group meets from 7-8:30 p.m. Mondays and Fridays at St. Aloysius Parish, 297 N.W. Broadway St.

Narcotics Anonymous

A Narcotics Anonymous group meets at 7 p.m. Wednesdays at 295 N.W. Wade St. Call 503-290-4507 for more information.

Grief share

The Grief Share group is there for people who have lost a close friend or loved one, helping to turn mourning into acceptance and to remind of the joy that remains in life. The program consists of a 13-week study utilizing a workbook, videos and discussion.

Confidentiality is required of all who attend. Grief Share meets from 2-4 p.m. Mondays and 4-6 p.m. Thursdays at Clackamas Valley Baptist Church, 29275 S.E. Eagle Creek Road.
