Local author Kathryn Hurd will host a reading and book signing for her newly published book of Estacada history, "Estacada Sagas." She will also introduce her new children's book, "Esther's Wild Rides," set in Estacada in 1904. Books will be available for purchase at the event, scheduled for Monday, Aug. 28, at Hi School Pharmacy, 207 Broadway St.

Estacada High School All Alumni Reunion
A reunion is open to all who attended Estacada schools, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at picnic section two in Barton Park. Participants should bring a food dish and their own beverages for a potluck lunch at 1 p.m. Food should not be brought in glass containers. There is a $5 per family registration fee and a $5 parking fee per vehicle. Attendees are also encouraged to bring canned food donations. Shop Local Trade Fair
From noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, on the lawn in front of City Hall, 475 S.E. Main St., the Estacada Chamber of Commerce will hold the Shop Local Trade Fair. Coffee with Firefighters
Estacada fire holds a community coffee at 9 a.m. the first Tuesday of each month at the fire station, 445 S.E. Currin St. The event is an opportunity to meet firefighters and staff, ask questions and learn about the district.

The Grief Share group is there for people who have lost a close friend or loved one, helping to turn mourning into acceptance and to remind them of the joy that remains in life. The program consists of a 13-week study utilizing a workbook, videos and discussion. Confidentiality is required of all who attend.
