Fall into fall during annual harvest festival
The Estacada Harvest Festival will bring family fun to downtown once again. The free event is scheduled for 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Harvest Market Square, 280 Broadway St. Families can take a hayride through the city's downtown streets, children can paint pumpkins and attendees can participate in a chili cook-off or pie eating contest. This year's festival also offers several new features, including a chance to dive through piles of hay searching for candy bars and another occurrence that event coordinator Nancy Hoffman described as "a great surprise." She declined to elaborate further but noted it would be family friendly.
