The Clackamas Community College Theatre Department production of "Lobby Hero" will open next week. The show follows Jeff, a security guard who has come across a murder case implicating the brother of his supervisor. The play, nominated for a Tony award and set solely in an apartment building lobby, examines racial profiling, sexual harassment and police corruption.
"Lobby Hero" will open at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 with a reception featuring CCC's Jazz Combo. Performances run Thursdays to Sundays through Nov. 18. Sunday matinees are at 2:30 p.m., and all other shows at 7:30 p.m. There will also be a pay what you can matinee on Friday, Nov. 16. All performances are in the Niemeyer Osterman Theatre, 19600 Molalla Ave., Oregon City.
Tickets are $11 for adults, $9 for seniors and $5 or pay what you are able at the door for students. The show contains mature themes and strong language.
