Bar crawl encourages attendees to wear pajamas
Ask an Estacada bartender about customers traveling to different establishments around town in onesie pajamas, and they'll say it's a perfect mix for a memorable night.
The Estacada Onesie Bar Crawl will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25. There will be drink specials at 7 p.m. at Hitchin' Post Pizza, 458 S.W. Second Ave.; 8:30 p.m. at Old Mill Saloon, 150 S.W. Frontage Road; 10 p.m. at The Cazadero, 352 S.E. Highway 211; and 11:30 p.m. at Trails Inn Cafe & Timber Room, 397 Broadway St.
Samantha Wells at The Cazadero had the idea to bring the event to Estacada after she attended a similar one in downtown Portland.
"I wanted to bring it to Estacada so we didn't have to drive to Portland," she said, adding that the Estacada event will have a community atmosphere.
"Everyone will know each other," she said. "It won't be a bunch of strangers."
Sara Shaw of The Old Mill Saloon said there used to be an Estacada pub crawl, but this is the first onesie pub crawl in town.
"Seeing everyone in their onesies will be fun. People get creative," she said. "I hope people have fun and there's a good turnout."
John Davis of Hitchin' Post Pizza said the most exciting part of the night will be "what everyone dresses up as, and having good times with friends."
"Come bring your onesie, smile and have fun," he added.
Wells likes the possibil-
ity of making it a regular event.
"I hope to do it annually and do other ones too, like a Santa crawl and Easter crawl," she said.
