New series of outdoor events this summer will promote music and community in Estacada

A variety of musicians will take the stage at Wade Creek Park for a new tradition of outdoor summer concerts in Estacada.

This year's lineup includes country group O Brother on Wednesday, June 19; R&B group Red Hots on Wednesday, July 17; and pop group Cherish on Wednesday, Aug. 21. Concerts are scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Admission to the concerts is free.

"The goal is to be as family friendly as possible. Kids can play on the playground and people can sit and listen to music," said Rob Gaskill, one of the organizers of the concerts.
