Band brings summer sounds to Wade Creek Park
Estacada's inaugural summer concert series kicked off last week with a performance by O Brother.
On Wednesday, June 19, the band played a variety of classic songs like "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison and "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone" by Bill Withers on the stage at Wade Creek Park. The group consists of Bob Ferrante, Michael Howard, Steve Guilliam, Thor Johnson, Al Callahan and Rob Gaskill.
As the music played, concertgoers enjoyed food from the Estacada High School Booster Club and children happily played at the park.
There are several additional summer concerts scheduled at Wade Creek Park in the upcoming months. On Wednesday, July 17, the Red Hots will play R&B music, and on Wednesday, Aug. 21, Cherish Nunnally will play a variety of country, pop and children's music. The free events are scheduled from 6-8 p.m.
