Volunteers from the St. Vincent de Paul program at St. Aloysius Church received the 2019 Distinguished Nonprofit Award from the Clackamas County Community Action Board during a reception on May 8, in Oregon City. The award recognized the group for a significant achievement in addressing the causes and conditions of poverty in Clackamas County.
This year, St. Aloysius volunteers spent 1,405 hours assembling food boxes for 2,917 families, which helped 8,450 individuals.
Food boxes are distributed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday at St. Aloysius Hall, 192 N.W. Third Ave.
