Young Estacada dancers recently showcased their abilities during Crescendo Dance Studio's first recital.

More than 100 local students performed routines focused on a circus theme during the event on Saturday, June 15, at the Estacada Auditorium.

"The best part of our first show was seeing all the smiles in the audience and on the stage," said Chelsea Vicknair, the studio's owner. "I am so grateful to our community for embracing dance and what it teaches our kids."

Crescendo Dance Studio opened at 373 Broadway St. last year. Along with offering classes for children, the studio began offering adult jazz, adult ballet and pilates, and adult line dancing this month.
