Bands performed nearly every genre of music during a recent event at Promontory Park
During DJ Jonny Blaze's third annual River Fest, artists played everything from hip hop and rock to pop and classical. The festival was held on Saturday, July 6, and also featured children's activities, vendors selling items ranging from jewelry to bacon-on-a-stick, and appearances from Batman and Smokey Bear.
Bands included It's Denny, Dfmanz, Tilly and the Flowers, Pariah's Exeplar, Danit Chetron, Yikes and the Shin, Trevor McCord, The Arbor, Rich James, The Rise The Fall, Ground Up Studios, Washer Dryer, Maria Shim, Pontiak Knights, Fahari and Midnight Highway.
Children enjoyed a bounce house and dunk tank, and attendees of all ages participated in a water balloon fight with 4,800 balloons.
Proceeds from the festival will go toward anti-bullying speakers in local schools or the National Suicide Hotline.
