Nonprofit organization supports pet owners
Estacada nonprofit group Lend a Paw will offer local residents vouchers for discounted spaying and neutering for cats and dogs, as well as free pre-anesthetic physical examinations and vaccines.
Lend a Paw received a grant from the City of Estacada to help fund the vouchers. Eagle Fern Veterinary Hospital will offer discounted services and the Merck Vaccine and Merial Vaccine companies will provide free vaccines.
With the vouchers, a feline spay is $65; a feline neuter is $50; a canine spay is $95; and a canine neuter is $80. Typically, these procedures cost between $110 to $300.
