Charter school offers autumn fun
Thanos from the Marvel Comics, a taco and a hamburger, and a Seattle Seahawks football player were just a few of the costumes at Summit Learning Charter's Harvest Festival.
The event on Thursday, Oct. 31, was organized by students in the school's leadership program.
Activities at the campus in Eagle Creek included face painting, pumpkin bowling, bean bag toss, cookie decorating, crafts and a cake walk. Students could also participate in a scavenger hunt and enjoy a petting zoo.
Summit Learning Charter serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The school uses a blended model of virtual and in-person learning, and many extracurricular activities like last week's festival are offered.
