Estacada organizations will host a variety of activities in honor of Veterans Day on Monday, Nov. 11

The Estacada Area Support Our Troops Foundation will host a parade and ceremony for Veterans Day on Monday, Nov. 11. All Estacada area veterans are invited to participate as Grand Marshals. Businesses are encouraged to enter floats in the parade, and the one chosen as the most patriotic float will receive a brick with the business

name at the Veterans Memorial.

The parade will begin at 11 a.m. Participants should meet between 10-10:30 a.m. at Estacada High School, 355 N.E. Sixth Ave. Classic cars, horses, log trucks, 4x4 vehicles and anyone who wishes to participate are invited to be part of the parade. There will be a ceremony at the Veterans Memorial, 267 N.E. Second Ave., immediately following the parade.

Additionally, the Estacada American Legion Carl Douglas Post will host their annual Veterans Day breakfast from 7-11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at the Odd Fellows Hall, 267 S.W. Second Ave. Suggested donations are $6 for adults and $3 for children ages 9 and younger. Proceeds from the event will help purchase an emergency defibrillator unit for the Estacada Community Center.

Also, a spaghetti dinner is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at the Eagle Creek Grange, 24491 S.E. Eagle Creek Road. Veterans are free, adults are $5 and children are $3.50.
