The latest production by the Springwater Players featured a unique cast member.

In the group's readers theater production of "The Trouble with Harry" on Saturday, Nov. 16, a well dressed mannequin played the deceased title character.

"The Trouble with Harry," written by novelist Jack Trevor Story in 1950 and adapted into a film by Alfred Hitchock five years later, follows the residents of a small town as they discover the corpse of a man named Harry and determine what to do next.

Springwater's cast included Vernon Souders, Kathleen Souders, Tabitha Souders, Cortlan Souders, Rob Guttridge, Tami Guttridge, Jessie Guttridge and Peggy Hartwig.

Audience members laughed as the cast connected them with the darkly humorous story. A portrait of Alfred Hitchcock hung on the stage, a nod to the director's frequent cameos in his films.
