Celebration of Lights
The community is invited to learn about Hanukkah during the lighting of the lights at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, at Harvest Market Square.
Town Hall Meeting
Estacada School District leaders will host a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, in the Estacada High School Choir Room, 355 N.E. Sixth Ave. Topics will include a potential bond, community priorities and school facility needs.
Community Emergency Preparedness Training
There will be a community emergency preparedness training from 7-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Estacada City Hall, 475 S.E. Main St. Topics will include threats and common hazards, first responder and government response, building a disaster kit, and making a family plan.
The Estacada Garden Club meets from 1-3 p.m. the second Thursday of the month, September through June in the Flora Room of Estacada Public Library, 825 N.W. Wade St.
Beginning vinyasa and hatha yoga classes are held at 2:30 p.m. Mondays and 7 p.m. Tuesdays at the Viola Community Club, 22364 S. Redland Road. Classes are suited for all skill levels. The cost is $5 per class.
The Skip-a-Week club meets from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays at the Garfield Grange, 33460 S.E. Divers Road. For information, call 503-630-4669.
The Estacada spinning and fiber arts group meets from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Fridays at Betty Veveiros CPA, 309 S.W. Highway 224.
Texas Hold'em Poker
A game of mad poker is scheduled for 7 p.m. Mondays at the Cazadero Inn, 352 S.W. Highway 224.
The Estacada Area Food Bank is open from 10-11:45 a.m. and 12:30-3:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays. Food is available monthly to community members in Estacada, Eagle Creek, Colton, Carver and Barton who meet income requirements. To join the all-volunteer organization or to get food, call 503-630-2888 or stop by the Food Bank at 272 Broadway St.

Shuttle Bus Trips
The center's shuttle bus is specially equipped for people with mobility issues. Trips are opportunities to socialize and enjoy activities. January trips will include visiting the "World of Speed" museum in Wilsonville and going to Spirit Mountain Casino. Call the center for details and to sign up.
A $5 breakfast is offered at 9 a.m. Wednesdays for all ages. Shuttle pickup is available.
Weekday Lunches and Games
On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, ECC serves lunch — a hot entree, dessert, coffee and tea, with a full salad bar on Tuesdays and Fridays. Lunch is $4 for those under age 60. Seniors are invited to donate at whatever level they choose. Shuttle service is available. Lunch is followed by dominos on Monday and Thursday and bingo on Tuesday and Friday.
Take Off Pounds Sensibly
Take Off Pounds Sensibly, or TOPS, meets at 8:30 a.m. Tuesdays at the center.
If you have a few hours or want a regular responsibility, the center welcomes new volunteers. From serving meals to driving for Meals on Wheels to answering the phone or helping with fix-it and cleanup tasks, there's always something to do. Call 503-630-7454 for information on how to volunteer.
An Alcoholics Anonymous group meets from 7-8 p.m. Thursdays at the Estacada First Baptist Church, 29101 S.E. Eagle Creek Road. Another AA group meets from 7-8:30 p.m. Mondays and Fridays at Saint Aloysius Hall, 297 N.W. Broadway St. This group also holds a speaker's meeting on the first Friday of the month.
A Narcotics Anonymous group meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays at 295 N.W. Wade St. Call 503-290-4507 for more information.
A support group for those caring for someone with Alzheimer's disease or other form of dementia meets from 6:30-8 p.m. the second Monday of every month at Estacada First Baptist Church, 29101 S.E. Eagle Creek Road.
The Grief Share group is for people who have lost a close friend or loved one, helping to turn mourning into acceptance and to remind them of the joy that remains in life. Grief Share groups meet from 2-4 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays at Clackamas Valley Baptist Church, 29275 S.E. Eagle Creek Road. The groups do not meet on holidays.
The Estacada City Council meets at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, at Estacada City Hall, 475 S.E. Main St.
The Estacada Cemetery District meets at 5 p.m. the first Thursday of each month at City Hall, 475 S.E. Main St. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 3.
The Estacada Rural Fire
District's Board of Directors meets 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at 261 S.E. Jeremy Loveless Ave.

Music and Movement Storytime with Ms. Deborah
Scheduled from 11-11:45 a.m. Tuesdays, this storytime uses music and movement to help children develop early literacy skills.
Ms. Laurie's A to Z Storytime
This weekly storytime for children ages 4 and younger is scheduled for 11 a.m. to noon Wednesdays. Read, sing, and play while learning the alphabet and developing early literacy skills.
Music and Movement Storytime
This weekly event is from 11-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays. Music and movement help children develop early literacy skills by using sound and rhythm, story, song and instruments.
The Living Room Drop In
Scheduled from 4-7 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month, The Living Room provides a safe haven in for LGBTQ youths ages 14-20 in Estacada to connect with resources and one another.
The chess club, open to ages 10-18, is scheduled for 4-6 p.m. Wednesdays.
