Reliance Connects creates internet hot spots at Estacada City Hall, library and First Baptist Church

Because of closures at the Estacada Public Library and local schools, Reliance Connects has added several internet hot spots around town.

Hot spots are available at Estacada City Hall, the Estacada Public Library and Estacada First Baptist Church. At these locations, free internet connectivity will be available during the statewide school closures.

"We're trying to help the community, especially the students and families who may not have internet. We want to help while the school closures are happening," said Scott Crosby, plant manager for Reliance Connects.

The company is considering adding several additional hot spots, particularly in places with large parking lots so people can access the internet from their vehicles during this period of social distancing.

The company is also offering free internet speed upgrades for three months and is striving to fast track internet installation for families with school age students and were previously without connectivity. To learn more, call 503-630-4213.
