An Estacada food cart has found success at its new home in town.

The Freckled Peach, which had been closed since March, reopened Wednesday, May 6, at 360 S.W. Zobrist St.

"We sold out three of the five days in our first week, within two hours," said Melissa Keogan, who has been serving handmade waffles at the food cart since last November.

Previously located on Main Street, Keogan moved to the new location in hopes of receiving increased foot traffic.

"More people are walking by (in that area)," she said. "It's been fun. The days go by fast."

Keogan is happy to be serving the community once again.

"I didn't realize how social I was until I was home for five weeks. It's really nice to see people again," she said.
