Driver of vehicle missing a wheel arrested for DUII
The driver of an SUV with a wheel missing a tire was arrested by Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies on a charge of DUII.
On Friday, July 17, officers in Estacada heard a loud noise and realized a vehicle was being driven without a wheel. After parking near Big Jim's Corner Market and entering the store, the driver ran from deputies on foot after exiting the establishment.
After a brief pursuit, the driver was detained and arrested on a charge of DUII. He told deputies he had a flat tire but was unable to remove the spare tire to fix it.
Officers discovered his child had been asleep in the back of the SUV during the incident.
