More than 100 people recieve COVID-19 vaccine at Estacada clinic
Three local organizations recently teamed up to host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Estacada.
On Friday, March 26, Orchid Health's Wade Creek Clinic, the Estacada School District and the Estacada Area Food Bank hosted a drive-thru clinic at Estacada Middle School.
The clinic focused on patients who had been on Orchid's waiting list since the announcement of the COVID-19 vaccine. In total, 189 community members received the vaccine.
"The event went really smooth, and I loved that I did not have to travel far," one patient said.
Orchid Health Clinic Manager Jennifer Harris described the event as "a huge blessing for our high-risk patients."
"Smaller and local vaccine events help patients who have less access to vehicles and transportation," she added.
With the help of community partners, Orchid Health plans to host additional vaccination clinics in the upcoming months.
