Volunteers in Medicine plans inaugural Run for Healthcare
Clackamas Volunteers in Medicine was planning its inaugural Run for Healthcare to support its mission to serve the health needs of uninsured, low-income people in Clackamas County.
CVIM and Clackamas Community College officials have since "decided that this event cannot be in person, given how fast and effectively the delta variant is spreading." The event had originally been scheduled on Sept. 19 at CCC.
CVIM provides free medical care through dedicated medical and community volunteers, and the proceeds of $35-per-person admission to this run will allow the clinic to continue providing these critical services, said Executive Director Martha Spiers.
