Fair brings fun to Springwater Grange
After being held virtually last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Springwater Community Fair will return for an in-person gathering later this month.
Scheduled from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, the fair will feature a variety of activities outside of the Springwater Grange, 24591 S. Wallens Road. Though admission to the event is free, some activities will have a small fee. Refreshments also will be available for purchase.
Attendees are encouraged to bring produce, canning, photography and crafts for exhibition and judging. Entries can be brought to the grange hall from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 18, and can be picked up after the end of the event at 5 p.m. the same day.
Gardeners are encouraged to participate in the fair's produce exchange table, where they can drop off extra produce or take what they can use. All leftover items will be donated to the Estacada Area Food Bank.
A new activity will be the "Pet of Your Life" display. Attendees are invited to bring a picture of their favorite pet and a short paragraph about their furry or feathered friend.
Additional activities will include cornhole, a scavenger hunt, photo booth, tie-dying and a cake walk.
