Sean Drinkwine leads in race for Estacada mayor, while Michael McElroy, Heidi Prokop and Jerry Tenbush lead in five-way race for city council.

Sean Drinkwine has won easy reelection as Mayor of Estacada, drawing 65.92% of votes in the races against challenger Sarahi Revel (Sarahi Welton), who trails with 33.14% of votes tallied.

In the race for City Council, five candidates lined up for a chance at three positions: Ronda Craig, John Calder, Michael McElroy, Heidi Prokop and Jerry Tenbush.

Of those candidates, Prokop with 25.62% of votes casts, Tenbush with 23.45% and McElroy with 21.17% are winning the election.

The candidates described their top priorities as:

Prokop: Education, city parks, traffic/housing. Find ways the city can assist with improvements to the infrastructure of public school buildings. Accommodate our growing population and the families that are already here.

Tenbush: Finding funding for the wastewater treatment plant. Public safety, all aspects. Finally, continue to find a way to fill the buildings on Main Street with businesses that can be successful in Estacada.

McElroy: Focus on improving the lives of current residents. Attracting businesses that will create good paying jobs for locals. Managing the growth of the city in a way that will not change the reasons people want to live in Estacada in the first place.
