Two decades later, Northwest Technologies built three tank targets for United States Air Force

1980 — Harry Kitching was recognized for his service as a past master of the Estacada Masonic Hall. "Mr. Kitching was also honored for his 56 years of attendance. He was installed March 4, 1924," The News reported.

1990 — A fishing report for the Clackamas River noted fair water conditions. "Continued snow melt has kept the water temperatures cold and slowed angler success. Boat anglers are having best success from the Barton area to McIver Park," The News wrote.

2000 — Characters from Seussville could be seen at River Mill Elementary School. During Read Across America Week, principal Larry Adamson dressed as the Cat in the Hat, and staff members sported Cat in the Hat caps. Class photos were taken with the characters, and students participated in a variety of reading activities.

2010 — Northwest Technologies had recently built three tank targets for a U.S. Air Force base in Texas. Each tank had missiles or radar units to be manually moved and adjusted. "Obtaining a government contract is a significant milestone for our company," said Eric Sale, CEO and founder of Northwest Technologies. "We are pleased to provide laser cutting and manufacturing services to local, state and federal government agencies."

2019 — Staff at the Estacada library was gearing up for their first STEAM week, designed to help keep local youths engaged during Spring Break. Activities would include a crime lab session, designing a fruit battery, creating a bubble blower machine and making marbled paper projects.
