Members of the Garfield Skip-a-Week Club also look forward to resuming in-person activities when it is safe to do so

Friday and Saturday, July 24 and 25, should have been Garfield Skip A Week's Annual Quilt Show. Even though we had to cancel our quilt whow this year because of COVID-19, we still drew the winner of our Opportunity Quilt on Saturday, July 26.

A local Estacada family won the quilt. If you were one of the people who supported our group by purchasing tickets for a chance to win our 2020 quilt, we thank you!

Hopefully we will be back to hand quilting every Wednesday again soon. When it is safe to do so we will again be offering free sewing and quilting classes for beginners who are wanting to learn and for those who would like to expand their skills. Classes will be personalized to the participants' skills and will be one-on-one or in small groups.

Next year our local Skip A Week Quilt Club will be 100 years old. Our annual quilt show will be held the fourth weekend in July in conjunction with the Estacada Summer Celebration. We will be having a new Opportunity Quilt to purchase chances on, over 100 quilts on display, interesting exhibits and a new special quilt made by our members to commemorate our centennial. Mark the date on your calendar -- we hope to see you there!
