Grover Jeffrey Bornefeld: Clackamas County benefits from incumbents with proven track record

As a longtime Clackamas County resident, I'm grateful that here in Clackamas with our nonpartisan leadership, we aren't up against the same government dysfunction and infighting that plagues so many others.

I appreciate that we work to collaborate with one another to find solutions that benefit us all, and even when in disagreement, can work together respectfully. Bornefeld

That's why I'm supporting Sonya Fischer and Paul Savas for Clackamas County Commission this November. They both have been approachable leaders for our community needs and standing up for the underrepresented. And they both are working to improve county government for us all.

The unincorporated portion of Clackamas where I reside has been in pursuit of addressing the challenges of homelessness and building new library facilities that serve our whole community. Both Paul and Sonya have been strong partners alongside me and other community advocates in securing funding for projects that support our community thriving. They both listen to constituents about what matters to us and have helped craft strategic funding toward housing and services for the homeless in our county, as well as much needed new library buildings for Oak Lodge/Gladstone.

I believe their experienced leadership over the years has grown to be well attuned to our unique needs and resources, which is so essential to avoiding the same fateful dysfunction occurring in surrounding regions. By Tuesday, Nov. 8, join me in voting for Paul Savas and Sonya Fischer, our best choices for serving Clackamas County.

Grover Jeffrey Bornefeld lives in Oak Lodge in unincorporated Clackamas County.
