Eagle Creek-Barton CPO

Clackamas County personnel will discuss road maintenance and funding and listen to comments during the Eagle Creek-Barton Community Planning Organization at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 13, at the

Eagle Creek Fire Station, 32200 S.E. Judd Road.

Bingo & Silent Auction

The whole family is invited to enjoy bingo, food, prizes and a silent auction from 6-9 p.m. Friday, March 14, at Clackamas River Elementary.

Sunday Socials

Fearless Brewing Company will hold Sunday Socials from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Sundays through May 18. The Sunday Socials will be a bit like speed dating, but more casual. It’s more about meeting people than romance. You’ll meet everyone regardless of age or gender. You’ll spend three to four minutes talking with someone, and when the bell rings you’ll move on to the next person. A casual social hour will follow. There will often be live music following the meetings. There is no cover charge for the socials.


Distressed chair painting

Reinvent a chair with paint during this workshop from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at Wade Creek House, 664 N.W. Wade St. Instruction will be offered on basic painting and distressing techniques and seat recovery.

‘Being Earnest’

The Performing Arts Group of Estacada (PAGE) is bringing Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest,” the “trivial comedy for serious people” to the stage at the Estacada Community Auditorium at the Junior High. The show plays at 7 p.m. Thursday- Saturday, March 13-15 and at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16. Admission is free but donations are gratefully accepted.

Dinner Theater

The Springwater Players are holding a production of “Goldilocks and the Three Pigs” at 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 14-15, and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16, at the Springwater Grange, 24591 S. Wallens Road, Estacada. All ages are invited to attend this fairy tale mash-up. Tickets for March 14-15 are $15. Reservations are required. Call 503-630-6238 to save a spot. Sunday matinee tickets are $10 at the door.

Quilt club meets

The Skip-a-Week Quilt Club meets from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Wednesday at the Garfield Grange on Divers Road. For more information, call Ruth at 503-630-4669.

Spinning group

The Estacada spinning and fiber arts group meets from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Fridays at Betty Veveiros CPA, 309 S.W. Highway 224.

Grief Share

The Grief Share group helps those who have lost a loved one find comfort and acceptance and to find the joy that remains in their lives. Confidentiality is required of all who attend. The group now meets from 2-3:30 p.m. Mondays at Clackamas Valley Baptist Church. For more information, call 503-630-5484.

AA offers hope

The Estacada friendship group of AA offers hope and help for the alcoholic who still suffers.

Al-Anon and Alateen

If someone’s drinking bothers you, Al-Anon and Alateen can help.

Meetings are available just a 20 minute drive from Estacada at Eastridge Church, 14100 S.E. Sunnyside Road, Clackamas. Al-Anon and Alateen meet at 7 p.m. every Tuesday.
