Last week, students at Red Barn Preschool made new furry friends.

More than 30 children attended a field trip to Out to Pasture Animal Sanctuary on Thursday, May 10, as part of their lessons about farm animals. Out to Pasture is home to more than 150 animals, including donkeys, llamas, potbellied pigs, farm pigs, goats, sheep, chickens and rabbits.

Stanley the goat and Val the miniature donkey particularly enjoyed the students' visit.

Out to Pasture is an Estacada-based nonprofit organization that houses animals that would have otherwise been abandoned, abused or neglected.
