Inflatable coffins and black swans were just a few of the flotation devices on the Clackamas River last weekend. On Saturday, Aug. 18, goths flocked to the river for their annual float between Barton and Carver parks.

Event organizer Nicole Stavenau described the gothic community as "a group of people who at their core find beauty in things that may be seen as dark or macabre." She added that the gathering was an opportunity to meet new people and appreciate all that nature has to offer.
