Spiral Gallery show pays tribute to pets
Many pieces in the latest show at the Spiral Gallery highlight the bond between people and pets.
"Best Friends," which includes work by multiple artists at the gallery, will be featured through the end of February.
"I was very excited when I thought of doing a group show," said Am Griswold, who coordinated the show. "I think it's a theme that everyone can relate to."
Her favorite piece in the show is a sculpture of her and her dog, Stella, who was diagnosed with cancer last summer. Griswold has had twelve year old Stella since she was a puppy.
"Best friends" also features paintings, keychains and other pieces.
"It's a very light and whimsical theme. I took it as a chance to do something different," Griswold said. "It's a fun challenge. I always try to do themes in my shows. It helps me to pin down an idea."
