Hayden Brooks, Doug Kirchhofer and Sam Blankenship join forces to represent the Rangers at the all-star series

ESTACADA NEWS: MATT RAWLINGS - Estacadas Hayden Brooks looks to drive the baseline against his defender. He scored 15 points in Saturdays Game 2. WILSONVILLE — Sam Blankenship, Hayden Brooks and Doug Kirchhofer were the unquestioned leaders for the Estacada basketball program all season. The three all-leaguers led the Rangers to 15-8 record and a second place finish in the Tri-Valley Conference. And last weekend, they got to compete in their Estacada jersey for one last time.

Blankenship, Brooks and Kirchhofer were selected to play in the Oregon Athletic Coaches Association (OACA) all-star series for the East team, with their high school head coach, Kelly Norman, running the squad.

"Man, I had a great time playing. I met and got to play with a whole bunch of great guys," Kirchhofer said. "It was a great experience and I am glad I got to play with my teammates again."

The East team lost to the North All-Stars 124-86 on Friday night at Sheldon High School. The East would come back from a double-digit deficit in the first half to cut the lead to one in Saturday's game, but ended up getting defeated 108-71 against the West All-Stars at Wilsonville High School.
