Heavyweight Hunter Gotchall completes an undefeated weekend at the Oregon Classic

PAMPLIN MEDIA GROUP: LON AUSTIN - Estacadas Landin Vittetoe dumps his opponent to the mat during a 106-pound bout last weekend. The Estacada wrestling team split its six duals at the premier Oregon Classic last weekend.

The Rangers finished strong with back-to-back wins in Sunday's bonus round, highlighted by a 42-36 decision over Yamhill-Carlton.

Estacada lost the first three bouts and found itself trailing 36-18 heading into the upper weight classes. Draco Yandell sparked a perfect finish for the Rangers with a 15-second pin over his opponent at 182 pounds. Kenny Clark followed with a buzzer-beating fall at the end of the first period at 195 pounds, while Nico Winsor added a third-round fall at 220 pounds to even the team score.

Victory would soon follow with Hunter Gotchall flattening his heavyweight opponent in only 39 seconds for the winning points.

Tri-Valley Conference member Crook County won the Classic with a 47-28 win over Tillamook in the finals.
